Skyrim Retail Copies Compatible With Steam?

I read online earlier that Bethesda was using Steam to publish Skyrim on PC but I just wanted to clarify that all retail PC copies (such as the Collector's Edition) would be available with full support through Steam.

Has there been a confirmation of this elsewhere?

They confirmed it's going to be a Steamworks game on Twitter.

It's Steamworks, so that means you have to enter your serial key in Steam.
