I've owned Eufloria for some time now but never finished the campaign; started it once but lost my progress after some server / Steam / update issues (around New Years, I think?).
This time, though, I wanted to beat it and right now my motivation has dropped to zero and I'm done with it for the moment.
I'm on the fourth chapter now and so far EVERY SINGLE MISSION has been try & error, try & error, rinse and repeat. Considering how slow-paced the game is anyway, I'm really not in the mood to play each mission at least twice only to see what I should NOT do, and where enemy seedlings are going to attack me and where they won't.
Once you know each "path" the missions become easy as pie; as long as you don't, you might just as well stop playing but just study enemy movements and remember them for the next approach. After basically doing that three times in a row now I'm p***ed as hell after yet AGAIN losing a planet JUST after planting a set of trees only to get it rolled over by 10 times more seedlings than I have.
/rant. That's it, basically. This game's campaign alternates between too easy, too slow and too friggin frustrating, with just a few missions really being well tuned.
