Do you get the preorder DLC if this was gifted?

Belive so. I did the same and in my history it shows that I own Dead Island: Ripper 2.0.

From guessing it sounds like you would get it. The game only has to be preordered, nothing is specifically said about DLC being taken away due to gifting.
