Granted, I don't have a great pc, but I at least expect to get to the menu... I can hear the intro videos and the main menu music, but that is all...

Is there any fix for this game... I guess the good news is that I only paid $6.66 for this... This is unexceptable...

try this:
To fix that issue as I to had it, run the game located here "The Chronicles of Riddick - Assault on Dark Athena\System\Win32_x86\DarkAthena.exe" in compatibility mode for windows XP sp3. If you don't know how then read here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316-compatibility-mode.html
