Failed to contact key server

So what's up? I played CoD2 just fine a few weeks ago, but now it pops up with the error "Failed to contact key server". Yes, I verified my game cache. Yes, I restarted Steam. No, I did not update my drivers. And I didn't format either. Don't suggest that I do.

So what's wrong?
