Major problems in the demo with screen flickering, low res textures & the bottom 3/4 of the screen cut off/black.
I love the look & feel of this game, but won't be buying it if i can't solve these issues prior to the game being released.

i7 920 3.2Ghz
8GB Ram
1 GB HD 5870 (oc) latest drivers

I don't have any issues like this with any other game & i have also used Radeon Pro to adjust various settings, but that unfortunately hasn't solved the problems.

Anybody got any ideas..?

can you run the benchmark and post your resources and temps?

like, GPU %, GPU temp, CPU usage.

Some really bizarre behaviour going on, as far as Steam is concerned the demo is still running (even though it isn't) and therefore won't let me restart, can't even ctrl/alt/delete..?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can you tell me how to run a benchmark..? (never done it)

Steam just released an update, so quit out and restart it. You can run the benchmark inside Hard reset, just go to the main menu->Extras->Benchmark. It will run a preset path, and give you the results in frames per second.

Try turning off anisotropic filtering in the control panel for
your video settings, I had flickering and turning that off
fixed it.

OK, ran the benchmark everything at ultra/max detail 1920x1200 avg FPS 59.

The performance seems fine, there is just a bizarre issue with (the now top 3/4) of the screen being completely black & a constant screen flickering.
I have no virus/malware or any issues whatsoever with any other game (and i have over 30 installed) very strange indeed.. really hoping this can be solved, as i was (still am) very much looking forward to this game.
I have also tried turning off the V sync which made matters (the flickering) worse.

This is getting stranger by the minute: choosing MLAA in game causes the top 3/4 of the screen to go completely black, NO AA causes scrolling horizontal black bars, & other different graphical setting causes some equally bizarre behaviour.
Something tells me i am not going to be playing this game (good job i didn't pre-purchase) as i am already getting more than a little fed up.

Try removing the overclock on your graphics card temporarily. Then restart PC and load up the game. See if this works.

Just reminded me of something that could..? be a cause of the problem, about a week ago CCC stopped working for whatever reason (i hadn't changed or installed/uninstalled anything) and i had used it to overclock my card, i posted this on another forum & was told it wasn't a problem and sometimes 'just happens' and was advised to use Radeon Pro instead, which is great but doesn't have the option to overclock or more importantly to undo it, so i am wondering what are my options here.. i have tried numerous times to reinstall CCC but there is always a problem.
