What does it have to do with Steam and their support if Third party games are crashing for you?
You have to contact the developer/publisher about these problems.

Have you have wondered why the games no longer work for YOUR computer? Those games run fine on many other people's computers. And of course, you don't even post your computer specifications and other useful info.
And support ticket takes some time, and if you can't be patient, you don't really deserve any help, unless you've been waiting for weeks. If you posted this 1 day after you created a support ticket, then shame on you.
Now you just need to explain why it's steams fault that those games don't work for you. Why don't you ask Activision or the developer? Steam only sells games so the steam support can't offer full support for every single game.
Apart from the high probability that it's a fault on your end anyway. Or why do they run for million other people?

COD 4 online crashes? Sounds like the punkbuster problem punkbuster refuses to fix.
COD 6, is that Modern Warfare 2? Because they don't have dedicated servers so not finding good servers can be that problem.
Not everything is Steam's fault.

Well, sure they did. They ain't charity. Also they don't guarantee that games run without issues on your computer. You got what you paid for, unlimited downloads of the game/license you bought. It's not their task to give support for third party games.
You don't complain to the car store because your three year old car broke down, do you?

Yes, they did. And I'm quite sure they were right in doing so, as they were selling products in good faith, that work for many other people. This is no different to how it would be if you bought those games anywhere else.
You need to understand who you need to push for getting your problems sorted; they are solvable, so I recommend you contact Activision and keep at them.
But - and I say this with all due respect, and none of the snobbery of PC elitists - if buying games and not being prepared to tweak is an issue to you, you may be better of getting these games for a console.
(Just to add, I'm not a PC elitist - I love PC gaming as much as I love every other platform).

I think COD9 is a great game. It have good graphics and is pretty cool.

Try validating your game cache files, there could be a few files missing that are causing the games to crash. I don't own any Call of Duty games on Steam though, so I can't help you further than that.

this does not make you think there is a problem with your computer?
probably the same blind spot that makes you buy those games.

Sounds like you came here to ♥♥♥♥♥ rather than try to solve your problem. I don't see a question in your OP. If you truly wanted to solve this problem you would ask for help on the Call of Duty series forums to see if anyone has had this problem and how they solved it.
With so much crap being sold everywhere around the world and people buying all of it up like there's no tomorrow and spending money is more important than making a wise purchase you'd think everyone would be angry like you. But guess what, it all comes down to your decision to fork over the dough for a piece of crap.
Sorry that you bought into the hype of COD and that now you're unhappy. Consider yourself lucky, you're computer is trying to help you out.

WTF? Yes you do. 3 years is nothing in terms of lifetime of a car!

So I bought Gas at the Gas Station right, and then as I am driving down the road my car breaks down and I need a new engine. Can you believe that the Gas Station won't fix my engine for me! How dare they, I mean I bought the Gas at their store, it was there gas in my engine at the time.
I am never buying anything from them again, heck I am surprised that my wheel didn't fall off when I bought that stale danish from them last week considering the quality of their service.

for CoD4, do you have Steam Overlay disabled? Also, go to the CoD series forums and make a thread there to get some help. Valve does not give much tech help with 3rd party games. They may have some basic things, but otherwise, the game's community or the dev/SPUF forums.

You realize that what you have here is user error and not steams responsibility and in the least it would be the developers/publishers responsibility, but in reality, you're the one that needs to fix it, yes?
You sound like some people who rent a xbox 360 video game, go home, play it a little bit, come back, and tell the cashier it was working at first but now it doesn't play and demand a refund, and after close inspection of the xbox 360 disc, there's a big ring on it, caused by an xbox 360 being moved/fallen/etc. while playing the game, and that if the person had been playing it at all, means that person destroyed the disc, but hey, it's still the fault of whoever they rented the game from right?

I'd think it's either the Game, or something not working right on the Computer itself.
I tend to go for the "in-between".
Definitely not Steam's fault though.

If you're going to play games on PC you're going to have to learn some basic troubleshooting and googling methods.

When did CoD5 and CoD6 come out? I know I barely paid attention to PAX this year but I feel like I would've noticed if those got announced, much less got released.
I guess he means MW2 and Blops, but those aren't much harder to type, and in fact MW2 is shorter than CoD5 to type.

You say the games used to run fine but no longer do. So the problem is on your end. Unless you know what causing it, the best thing to do is to format your PC, reinstall windows and reinstall steam and games.
You have not even posted your computer specs and having a title 'FED UP W STEAM' won't help one bit as most users here will just think your immature, not very knowledgeable about PCs or just a troll. Most don't normally reply to threads like.

5 is World at War.
6 is Modern Warfare 2.
7 is Black Ops.

I have to admit steam support isn't too great...can never do anything for me, despite it being within their power and the TOS in general being on my side.

The next course of action would obviously be to sue the gas station and force them to pay for you engine because it ran fine before you put the gas in.
