i had this issue since i got the game.
i'm using windows 7. i reinstalled the launcher/ but not sure if that made a difference.
i got a tip from another user that got me thinking.. the launcher is on the c drive.. and i need more admin powers to change files there than my normal day2day account.
i found the game folder right clicked on the exe and selected run as administrator.
i can finally play the game.
