Looks to me like its just a courteous early-shipping thingy so that customers who ordered it online will actually receive their copy by mail on release day 11/11/11 via guaranteed 3 day shipping.

It's pretty unusual for them to hold a game until friday for a worldwide release. Normally us Brits have to sit in envy of our American friends who play on the tuesday before us.

Then you could have atleast clarified that. Were you really thinking that people from the US would read that and not be confused? Or maybe you weren't planning on people from the US to read it at all? :D

It would make more sense in this case to just say Nov 8th or something (not any other year obviously)

Could that just be when the game arrives in stores? I know nothing about retailers and stuff, but it seems logical. There's no reason to properly release the game on a Tuesday or whatever.
