Indeed:o. Even on normal difficulty it's hard.

Yeah, you don't get as much experience (N.A.N.O., whatever) so you don't have good weapons early on... Playing on hard (it's not Normal Reset, after all) and it is hard. But I like it.

Guess my first playthrough will be normal. Then hard, then insane :D

Normal and I've died quite a few times, I'm not looking forward to that Extreme Difficulty mode.

Playing Normal, currently stuck at the final boss. Then I'll finish Easy for comparison. Then I'll play Hard and Insane, once I've beaten into my memory where the secrets are...

...Excuse me one moment...

started out on insane. Got about 1,5 hours in, then I got stuck a little and quit to check up on RO2 :)
Definitely liking the challenge, every nook and cranny are searched for precious nano and ammo, and everything gets blown up to kill baddies. Maybe the electric orb launcher has spoiled me though.

Oh, tell me about it, Mokkat... That thing is a godsend!

I'm playing on normal and it's too easy. I'm using a controller so I dunno if that helps but really, I rarely die.

So far, I'm just past beating Atlas.

playing on Normal here and find some areas quite challenging.

Normal, and was pretty sad when I died at the end of the second level (wanted the achievement for surviving) :D It's challenging even now, so I fear the hardest difficulty, but will be checking it out for sure later.

Normal. Just reached the laboratory and have died about 15 times.

Running around bunny hopping doesn't work too well when a volley of missiles blows up the car and half dozen explosive tanks I just landed on.

Easy... I'm not one to look for too many challenges in my spare time, I just want a nice ride. I'm quite comfortable admitting that I enjoyed "god;impulse 9" quite a lot in the old days as well.

... what? I played the demo once, on normal, and then after about 5 minutes into the game on normal I was seeing if I could switch it to hard since it was a lot easier. Or, well, the robots seem to die a lot faster now or something, to me at least.

playing on hard as always. Not a problem until I got to Level III- 6. Parking Lot. I 've got my ♥♥♥ kicked so many times it isn't funny... I must have died 15 times in a row, probably because of the wrong type of upgrades I made... but I refuse to go back to normal, I refuse damn it!

Playing on hard, but without the demo crutch of fast nano and multiple good upgrades, choosing and planning ahead became a lot more critical, as did mooching around the level and making sure you at least get 90% of the available nano per level, if not 100%.

Generally I only die once or twice on levels I've already got a feel of, new levels take a liiiiitle longer. The twin heavy grenadier was no joke :(

I almost punched my screen on that part. 3 extremely difficult waves and not a single checkpoint? Bull♥♥♥♥

^^eventually I found out how to pass it. But I don't want to spoil others the great ... fun of it

so true. I forgot to get one of the big nano ones a few levels ago. I'm still regretting it...

I beat it today on Normal, and next day I have off I'll go back for Hard. The most I needed to repeat a section was 3 times on Normal, and to be honest it felt a bit too easy considering how every reviewer made a point of how hard the game was.
