What does SUF (steam user forums) have to say about xotic?
Worth the money?
It's only 8 bucks, go for it. It's cheap enough to warrant a purchase without breaking the bank. By looking at the video, it looks like you'll get your 8 bucks worth on enjoyment out of it. Plus, it's an indie game and we all hold them near and dear to our hearts. Give it a shot if you are at your home PC and let us know how it is. Otherwise, I'll be picking it up tonight and I'll share some thoughts later.
Edit: Just bought it from work so I'll install and play when I get home for sure.

It's a bit bizarre, but I like it. As the description and movies imply it is very arcade style. There is actually a lot more to this game than I realized with all the different power ups and the skill and upgrade trees. I think it was worth the 9 bucks easily.

I was in two minds whether to buy this or not but I've just bought it and completed the tutorial and it's very good I must admit, lots of places to explore and search, find hidden things where you least expect. Sneaky game!
Graphics/sound are good but it's the movement of the character I like, that is perfect, time to explore :D

I'm going to say yes - I liked the videos and the concept so I bought it.
Now I'm a realist and I know that there's always a snag - graphical glitches, cheapy done sound, limited levels, wonky controls or whatever and so I booted-it-up cautiously and...
Nothing like that in the first few hours at least - in fact the polish-level is quite impressive (I'm loving the visuals and the sound in particular - the controls are also good tho the mouse speed issue needs fixing perhaps).
If the idea of finding ever-quicker and higher-scoring paths around a colourful level appeals to you - this is your game...

I'm normally not into this type of games, but I find Xotic to be quite fun. It definitely doesn't feel like a generic shooter.

It's pretty awesome. Actually requires aiming and speed. Things that have been lost in the age of console/controller gaming.
Quite Refreshing. So far having a blast! 10 bucks is a steal!
