for some reason, the motd isn't showing up, i've placed the motd in a .html document, and it runs fine. not sure what is going on. anyone know a fix?

lol ok,
well you need to save the motd file as a .txt file. Any html coding inside the file still works as if it was a .html file ;)

He is saving it as a txt file. He said he saved it as an html file and it displays fine. Meaning it doesnt work as motd.txt in CSS, but when he tests it as motd.html it works fine.
I have had the same problem before and don't like making changes to the motd since I currently have it displaying properly. It seems to be related to placement of carraige returns because I've copied and pasted code and it failed. manually typing the same line worked.
They should simply allow html files. Hell even my php website displays fine when I click the link from within CSS.
