It really is, if for nothing else the awesome setting and music.
It can be frustrating at times though with a lot of trial and error, and I got a little motion sickness from the first-person view but it really is a unique game.

It's definitely worth it, its quite short but the gameplay is great and there are even some people who made a few custom maps if you want to keep going.

For $4.99 absolutely worth it.
It was in my wishlist for a year :)
Was not worth the full price because the game was rather short but I loved so many aspects of the game. The music, the game mechanics and the graphics are all good.
Unique game and I wish they perfect this game and bring the sequel!

I have it on PS3 thou, but i really recommend it. Its a unique and funny game on level after level.
Is that price correct? It shows as US$2.50 for AU. And yes, it is a great game.

Although not a perfect game, Mirror's Edge is probably still one of my favorite games of all time.
Whenever I want to explain the game to someone, instead I just show them this video.

Yep, I'm aussie and it's showing $2.50 USD on my screen.
This game is absolutely worth the time to play. Is a fanastic experience playing it.
WARNING: Best played with a Xbox360 controller :)

More than worth it.
Is it worth it if I already payed $20 for it on the Xbox and $10 more for the dlc?

Awesome game. Dunno about the $4.99 though, as I got it for @$2.50 a few years ago. Overall, cannot wait for Mirror's Edge 2. Any game stuck in concept development for that long has to be good.

I think you can take the risk to spoil 2.50 :D
But how come that steam is able to make offers like this?

Because the amount of people who would have bought it at the full/fuller prices by now has dwindled, but the amount of people who'd buy it on sale (and/or at all, if it wasn't on their radar before seeing it on the frontpage) could rake in more money than if it just sat there in the Store.

WRONG.
Definitely better with mouse and keyboard.

Not to be confrontational, but I must say, definitely NOT best played with a 360 controller. I own the game on 360, and have a wired controller that I use on my PC a lot, but this game is best played with mouse/keyboard.
For anyone who are picky about their mouse sensitivity/acceleration, see the third post here: http://on-mirrors-edge.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=2655
Great game so far, already enjoying it more on my PC due to the mouse/keyboard controls, and it's been long enough since I played on 360 that I don't remember any of maps so it's like a brand new experience to me :D
Duke Nukem: Forever(period->).
Duke Nukem forever wasn't stuck in concept development, it was stuck in the development process. Hugh difference.

Call it what you want, but it's been on the back burner for ~3 years? And it's EA. Well, I guess it could be good, most of DICE's games decent.

I love this game and you can't go wrong with 4.99. To this day it's still the best looking game ever made. My opinion of course.

If Portal & Portal 2 are the best first-person puzzle games, then Mirror's Edge is second. Grab'em before it ends yo! Bought it on retail, and definitely one of the most beautiful games in recent memory. Wish my city was that clean.

Yes!!!! I got it also at 5 last sale and it worth more. If you care about graphics, are gorgeous and the comic look make them fresh, if you care about histoy its really cool, and if you care about playability, is a 1 person kind of shoother without the shoothing ;), focus on close combat speed and reflexes, but its not imposible or frustrating, auto saves work ok, and trust me, im suck at platform reflex games, i had doubs about this, but i really enjoyed!!!

Yes, Portal 2 is #1, Portal #2, and Mirror's Edge is #3 of fpp.

Absolutely. It has problems and flaws, which are all outlined in this review, http://www.violentgamerreviews.com/2011/09/mirrors-edge-pc-review.html , but it's worth your time. If you are a narrow minded call of duty gamer, then it may not be for you, but then you probably wouldn't be on these forums in the first place.

It's semi fun so far (on Chap 4) - but like most of these jumping games (and so far that looks to be pretty much mostly what it is) it can be frustrating as all get out sometimes - especially the wall jumping (ie: up wall and then somehow do a 180 towards where you need to go/jump...).
You also might find yourself alt-tabbing out like I did and watching walkthrough videos to figure out just exactly what magic combo DICE wanted me to do as the player to get to a specific place...lol

Yes, Portal is #1, Portal 2 #2, and Mirror's Edge is #3 of fpp.
fix'd. It just doesn't get tighter than Portal 1 unless you're going by a JRPG gauge. Then you'd start contending with Chrono Trigger.

Even for the full price (which is 10€ here at the moment) this game is an absolute steal.
Definitely one of the most innovative games I have played in recent years. Still hope DICE will come up with a sequel for this gem.
Gameplay, graphics, soundtrack.. not very often are there games, with all three of these aspects being truly great. This is one of them.
I shall reinstall it on this machine here right now actually.
