Help remapping keys

I have a logitech g500 mouse and when I went to remap the keys it let me map side mouse button 4, but wouldn't recognize side mouse button 5


any ideas?

google a program called xmouse button control. It lets you map certain keys to your mouse buttons, on a game-by-game basis.

So, if Mirror's Edge doesn't recognise mouse button 5, just use xmouse to map button 5 to a key (eg. "F" or "TAB" or whatever), then map "F" or "TAB" to whatever you want in the Mirror's Edge settings.

I find that many games don't find the 4th and 5th buttons of my mouse, so I basically always have my button 4 to always correspond to "F", and my button 5 to always correspond to "V", and just remap "F" and "V" to various things in my games.
