In case the process ends even before anything happens, you might want to deactivate PhysX in the nVidia control panel. It worked for me.

Looks like from the 7 series and up Nvidia has now been providing drivers for laptops because of manufactures probably not staying with it. I remember the announcement for this quite awhile ago.
