As I noticed from others stating this error, that the game DID not install the ubisoft game launcher..
I already had assassins creed brotherhood installed and was able to get the launcher from that and upload it to mega upload for you all

download it /place it on your desktop or a temporary folder and run it.. It will auto patch your game and if you dont havea Uplay account you will be prompted to make one ,, I have had clan mates test this method and it works 100%
