I want to buy it but after last years problems I cannot buy it without hearing from some trusted people first. Can you guys tell me what you think of it so far? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I really like it. The handling of the car feels better. You have to really work at it to keep the car straight some-times regardless if your T.C. is on Full or not.

The AI is greatly improved too. The Kers and DRS work pretty nice, you can really feel the difference when using them. I haven't got to pass anyone with DRS yet, but you can use it during qualifying and practice anytime you want and it's nice.

Graphically it's not much different than last years game. The audio is alright, cars don't sound like they do on TV IMHO but that's not a deal breaker.

I don't see the tire wear or anything. I raced a 20% race w/ time adjusted wearing turned on, but no wear. The tires seemed to loose some grip near the end, but the OSD didn't show that happening, so maybe I was just breaking a little to late.

I like it. Most people complain that it's $50 for a patch, but that's not the case. A patch would not base the game off the 2010/2011 championship, the F1 10 would still be based off 2009/2010 championship.
Would not have this years rules or tracks.

So I think it's worth it if you are really into F1. If you just play it to race something, then stick with 2010 until the price drops some.
Just my $0.02

EDIT: I forgot that I had tire wear and fuel usage actually disabled. Explains why I saw no wear.

With the new handling, KERS, DRS, improved mechanical grip, 2011 season tracks namely Nurbergring and New Delhi, updated liveries and chasies, co-op champianship mode, multiplayer with AI to fill the grid, native dx11, improved framerate, improved wheel support especially in the force feedback area (it's like dirt3 ie:good, not just pull to center like 2010), improved AI, safetly car (might be buggy) possibly the pit lane bug is fixed (don't know yet for sure) it's a pretty good step forward. <--this is a run on sentence, deal with it.

What do i think? I like it.

Well this would have been on top of my purchase list, I am a F1 fantic, but after 2010 I will rather wait for a sale, although the price for the 2010 version did not drop by much.

I did a 58 lap race at Melbourne last night and didn't get held int eh pits once even with cars exiting their pits right behind me. It wasn't one of them unsafe releases either, but a very realistic one.

Glad to hear that. That was the most frustrating aspect of 2010. You could loose 8-12 positions just from bad pit releases.

hehe well i didn't want to say it was when i didn't know for sure, i assumed it was, and seems like people with more time in the game have had good results with it :)

well spinning out u can tell and feel it.. it's not completely out of control like iracing and the feel seems more realistic than Race On: GT Power so I have to say it's a win..

when u start skidding out u can hear the tires like bounce up and down on the track.. like the sound isn't linear like u skid out in other games and it sounds flat.. this has it where the tires has a sound that isn't linear and u can feel it on the wheel.. I think it's cause of the tire deformation system.. realer than all the other racing games imo

too bad it's only F1
