Stuck on preload.

So its September 23rd, adverts stating f1 2011 is now available and f1 2011 is siting in the New Releases tab.

However for some reason it still states that I have preloaded the game and will be available to play upon official release.

I've tried restarting steam but it was to no avail.

Try this:

Select the game in your library
Do you still have "Preload" on the usual Play button? Click it if so
On the window that pops up, click the button on the left to "resume" pre-loading
It should jump to 100% and change it's status to Ready to Play

This is just a suggestion based on what my own install did - I download stuff at work and take it home, drop it in my Steam folder. On restart, the games are then either "update paused" or "preloading" - at which point I have to either resume updating or resume preloading - both of which complete immediately and I can then launch the games.

Thanks for the reply, however the window that pops up states the pre-load is complete and "When the game is officially released, you'll be able to play it immediately"

This has still not been resolved unfortunately and I will be calling my bank to try and reverse the transaction through Chargeback in 48 hours.

Anyone else with this problem who receive the same lack of support from steam, I'd advise do the same.
