IS the game much more difficult as a recruit?

I debated between recruit and soldier, but in the end picked recruit due to the optional (at least it lloks like) NG+ with Veteran.

Will the game be significantly more difficult like this? Just wondering, and thanks.

A bit harder. You don't get starting AP like the other choices, but you have to beat the game as recruit to unlock veteran mode. Which is totally worth it.

Recruit- Start with 0 AP, but use the "Recruit" dialogue often early on is a quick 10AP to start a build.

Others- You get 31 AP, IIRC to assign as you wish from the start.

Personal opinion says play as a recruit first time. It seems to make the story make a bit more sense, since you are the new recruit of Alpha Protocol.
