View Full Version : Any mod for the emulator that allows for online play?

This is the only major problem I have with the emulator (the alphabetization being a minor other problem). Tons of emulators have some way or another of allowing for online play...except for this one (and most console emulated games)

Come on Steam! Fix this already.

Unfortunately, your friend must sit in your room to play with you. :(
Online Multiplayer isn't possible (is it?)

His point was that most emulators that people just play roms that they've downloaded on have an option for online play. This emulator doesn't which is a huge oversight/laziness on the part of Sega.

I would buy them if some of them had online play, but they don't, so I won't; therefore, it's probably a bit of an oversight.

ROM emulation is a cash crop. You're double dipping in profit when the consumer base had seemingly already been tapped out 20 years ago. The re-releasing of ROMS on an emulator is just laziness in itself.

What I want are more ports like Sonic CD, where the game was rebuilt from scratch. Sadly, that usually takes too much effort, but hey maybe if the game sells well on steam, they'll continue doing it like that?
