Sorry couldn't find an official statement from Bethesda,
I would like to use a 360 controller as well,
but seeing as most games support them nowadays,
I don't think that's going to be much of an issue.

As the game box (http://www.game.co.uk/en/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-88094?pageSize=20&searchTerm=skyrim) has Games for Windows on it, I believe that means that it has intergrated xbox controller functionality.
It's possible I'm getting a little mixed up, but I believe that is right.

Games for Windows only requires xbox controller support if the game supports controllers at all, if it doesn't support any controllers that's fine too.

Ahh I see. So the question is then, does Skyrim PC support controllers?

I really think since the 360 Controler is the Gamers first choice if they want to use a Controler with a PC Game there should be something small on the box to let you know this as of course Mass Effect oh look it's for the 360 and PC it must support the 360 controler then I figure well it sure don't and why they would not put it in there is pretty dumb if you ask me seeing it is not just a PC olny Title.

Fix'd it, you don't have to wait until September 2012, the game comes out in a month and a half :D

There IS something that lets you know. Games that support 360 are embedded with a "Games for windows" logo.
Also, do you know what a comma and period is? That was kind of hard to read.

Oblivion supported Gamepads, but it didn't offer specific 360 controller support, for instance you weren't able to make use of the Right and Left Triggers, you were only able to use LB and RB, which made playing with a 360 controller pretty much impossible.
That makes one wonder why it didn't support it, since both the PC and the 360 Version were released at the same time.

If the interface remains the same as it does on the 360, WASD+Mouse players might as well use 360 controllers for all the menu hopping they'll have to do for simple tasks.
