Remind you of anything? (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559795186996978168/FFECBB8D58B2E627C3F1BDBC8118F9BBFA97C168/)

No?

Perhaps this? (http://samplereality.com/gmu/portal/archive/files/9c55eccf7ce5582f42b0c9cbeae75ecf.jpg)

There you go then: pretty much proof that the Aperture Science Unstationary Scaffold was a testing device created by humans and later phased out by GLaDOS (assuming that the testing tracks in portal 1 were built by humans and the tracks in Portal 2 were built by GLaDOS)

I couldn't find this anywhere else in the game but here. I assume GLaDOS found the Excursion Funnel a much more interesting method of testing.

Everything in the old portions of Aperture has its counterpart in the modern era. The cubes are no longer made of metal and plastic, but are instead stitched together wood and cloth.

Just another way of showing how things evolve in science and industry.

wood and cloth.

I imagined, leather rather than cloth. Oh, fine.

Leather - leather is actually what I should have written but I just got up and my brain isn't working. You are correct.

Um, the moving platforms were present in Portal 2 as well.

... Except that the excursion funnels were removed from the final game, remember? Unless I'm thinking stupidly... I haven't eaten yet either. jeez I shouldn't post when I'm like this.

The excursion funnels (http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Excursion_Funnel) werent removed, those where the pneumatic diversity vents (http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Aperture_Science_Pneumatic_Diversity_Vent), that were removed as testing element but not as a decoration element.

Okay thank you, I was thinking that as I typed it that I was on the wrong item.

I use the Diversity Vents in my fanfic, is why I thought of the other as not in-game. :)

Anyone think the diversity vents will be in the dlc?

It's an entirely unneeded process though, I doubt it. They did look like some fun, but the blue gel among other things kind of renders it useless.

If you get creative, there are plenty of uses for the Pneumatic Diversity Vents that nothing else can replicate effectively.
