Need help with xbox 360 controller issue

I would wish to use the dpad, but for some reason it only lets me use analog stick. I didn't have an issue with this at first but higher level of place is making me realize i need precise diagonal movement that i'm not getting with the stick. it's probably really simple i imagine but for some reason i cant find any options that let me do so

I'm using Xpadder for this, everything else don't work for me.

You can't get it to work because it's not possible. At least, not without the likes of xpadder and motionjoy.
