I noticed on the "coming soon" tab of the steam store PAYDAY was right after RAGE- which despite not having a listed release date, meant it would be released just after RAGE, which paired with the rumors of the Oct. 4th release date.

Now, however, the release date has been bumped back on the coming soon list, right behind Disciples III (oct.7) and right before Orcs must die(Oct. 12). This means that PAYDAY is planned to be released between Oct.7-12.

Well, it's been bumped back again. This time Oct. 14-19th.

Oh, and I noticed that nearly every single game I pre-order seems to come out on a Tuesday. (Deus ex., Dead Island, etc..)

And PAYDAY's original release was supposed to be today (Tuesday)...

The next Tuesday is the 11th, between the 7th and the 12th- supporting my theory and the circulating rumor of the 11th as the true release date.

Is it true the game is not being released untill a further date I just bought the game to night from the steam store went to download got some kind a error saying server busy at this time please try later then when I got the game ready to play say's Sorry can't play the game at this time try again later is this to do with the late release your talking about?

#2: Unless you think I'm talking about a completely different game called PAYDAY- it's obvious that this game isn't released yet and I'm projecting possible release dates.

Update: PAYDAY was delayed again.

it was bumped back behind Oct. 14, and above Oct. 19. My money's on the game released on tuesday the 18th.

The flaw behind the logic is, that neither the developers or publishers have set a date at all after it was originally delayed. Steam must be automatically pushing the game back as the actual date approaches until they hear otherwise since when it first appeared it just had "October" as the date.

Well, October 4th was an original, projected date- but that was confirmed to be delayed. Steam did set an "invisible" date for October 4th, but it was bumped back when Overkill delayed it. Then it complimented the rumors of the october 11th date- then all of a sudden being moved back all over again.

I've read about the 4th of October date, but I've never seen that myself in Steam even before the month had started and it just appeared in the Coming Son Tab.

Still think my theory makes more sense over its being deliberately pushed back into a position which accurately reflects a release date according to the OP when it doesn't, since even the developers and publisher doesn't know now.

Shouldnt steam keep us updated since we purchased it from steam. I think steam should put some heat on sony for a answer. After all i am a steam customer. Ive seen people get banned for posting project launch dates from other sites. They shouldnt of been banned if we were told as customers this is ridilious. I dont know the banned but i think what i say was childish steam moderator. We shouldnt have to have second hand info and you ban a customer.

No, Valve shouldn't keep us updated. Overkill should and they're doing so in the thread started by OVERKILL_Crew.

It seems a little far fetched to assert that there is some sort of stealth counter on steam where the truth will be revealed.

Like everyone in the industry knows exactly when it will be released and just aren't saying anything. Why? If the truth gets out too soon do we all wake up from the matrix or something?

If you convert "Payday: The heist" into swedish, and then into hexadecimal you get a cipher. If you then use the number "3" (the number of great pyramids), "7" (The number of original knights templar), and "4" (The rumored length of Pope Innocent II's ring finger, where he wears the papal signet ring) along with "Heat" (iconic crime shootout movie) to decypher it you get cooridnates that point to specific sections of the Mayan calendar that reference astronomic phenomena that are slated to occur on the 21st of this month.

So the game will be released on the 21st. It's so obvious from all the clues right out in the open.

i guess the reason why it was delayed is because this game is a downloadable game for which they don't need to plan anything about the shipment like until when the shipment has to be done. So, there is no serious deadline for the company. This definitely made them lazy.. you know i mean..(they are also human!)

I suppose ya right Sgtcooper but it also allows them to work on the game all the time, so days before release they spotted kinks as they say that they did not want to release the game with. :) all that stands in their thread topic, "Overkill's in the house" :D
