Cain, Luckyfoot, not so lucky?

Whenever I play as Cain, who starts with the luckyfoot item, it seems my luck is noticeably worse. When I play through as isaac I seem to consistently get more keys and bombs. Out of the numerous cain play through, regular items always seem to be in short supply.

Anyone else encounter this?

There's more to luck than mundane items, maybe. No one's quite sure what it does.

For me, I seem to find better equipment, have easier enemy rooms, and I seem to do fairly well on the slot machine. I don't always find a lot of mundane items, but my Cain tends to kick ♥♥♥ just about everywhere else.

My Cain got 2 dollar bills from 2 slot machines in one playthrough. I never had problems with items or money as long as I searched those hidden rooms.
Also: chests seem to frop a lot more and better stuff with increased luck. At the end I had 7 container hearts (the liver (HP +2) was in the secret room on floor 1 which helped a lot). I'd call that extremely good luck.

I only got lucky with Cain.
90% off all pills have a positive effect and I never was low on money, key and bombs and even got 2 dollar bills. On my last playthrough I had 12 Hearts (3 normal and 9 soul hearts) and was nearly invincible.

With my Cain (I've only played with him once so far) I got a bunch of hearts, but almost no coins. It was very sad, because there were two bibles on two separate stores that I was unable to buy :(

I also won two dollars off the slots in one playthrough as Cain. I actually didn't want the second one I wanted health at the time. lol

I find that playing as Cain I get more drops from things like poop piles and fires. It's hard to say whether or not the treasure room stuff gets any better since it's all so random.

As for slot machine luck, my best is with Maggy - 3 dollar bills, whereas my last Cain run spent tons on slots and got hardly anything useful.

Mom's Pills - Is it bugged to only give you the last pill you had? I got constant Range Ups

Forget the rest, but I wiped the floor with Mom's Heart.

Only good thing about Cain is that you get good pills and fortune machine always gives you item when you give it a coin.

Cain is borderline OP

If you get a Casino you are pretty much guaranteed to get Skatole, and good chances to get the Blood Bag and possibly the Crystal Ball and a ton of keys and bombs (and with Mitre a ton of spirit hearts as well)

Doesn't Cain have a boosted luck stat? According to the wiki the Lucky Foot simply removes negative pill effects (same way as PhD) and increases chance of winning at the arcade (from 1/3 chance to 1/2).

And yeah, if your Cain finds another arcade after getting skatole, you can get into a near-infinite bomb/key rolling spree.

The Lucky Foot gives you a boost to your Luck Stat. It doesn't guarantee luck, but you just have better odds for good things to happen.

Recently I got a lucky foot with Maggy along with a really insane item combo. I had the counterfeit coin, the habit, and Revelations. I then got an arcade in the depths (or maybe the womb? I forget). I was getting tons of hearts in the shell game and using them on the blood donation machine. Every two donations, Revelations would recharge for another soul heart. I was turning a profit, and had no clue how many soul hearts I actually got when I finally got skatole. There were enough that I still had 12+ hearts after finishing The Chest. :)
