For those who havn't seen this yet, Bethesda recently announced the "star-studded cast" of Skyrim (http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2011/09/27/a-star-studded-cast/).

The biggest names are Christopher Plummer (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001626/), Max Von Sydow (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001884/), Joan Allen (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000260/) and Michael Hogan (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0389581/). Oh and Buliwyf (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0474520/). All in all there's over 70 voice actors.

What do you guys think of the cast?

The three biggest names are Christopher Plummer (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001626/), Max Von Sydow (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001884/) and Joan Allen (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000260/).

I for one just hope it's not like in Oblivion, where they had 2-3 unique voice actors, and then a handful who played all the rest of the NPC's. Although they were great voice over actors, hearing the same voices on so many NPC's became pretty bad.

What do you guys think of the cast?

With 70 different voice actors I would hope that the generic voices are more diverse

Just think of all the different voices a beggar can now jarringly switch between in the middle of a conversation!

I just hope they don't sound so bored this time around, some of the lines that should have been dramatic sounded as gripping as a conversation about mudcrabs ("My daughter is missing. I'm real worried about her. Oh, you can help? That's nice.")

"Pleeaasse shir, I jahst want a SEENGLE COIN!

Ah, yes. The countess of Cheydinhal does seem to be a little cold, doesn't she? Good day to you, fine fellow!
*exit creepy staring contest*
BLESSINGS O' STENDAR UPON 'YE"

Those beggars gave me nightmares.

Indeed, I actually missed that part ^^

70 voice actors should be enough hehe!

To give you an example, Mass Effect 2 had 90 voice-actors. Considering that game needed a ton of unique voices/characters, I'd imagine 70 would be perfectly fine for Skyrim.

Though I doubt any of them could match the suave Martin Sheen.

Bump with two new links. (Well one's a bit old, but still)
