Nope, steam activation codes are single use and there were used as soon as I got them. I can't even get more codes to give to people since there's only one set per account and you'll only be able to use one paypal account per account.

I apparently had an IGN account, and didn't have a single issue with redeeming the game + DLC's (well, apart from my connection timing out once when opening one DLC's redeem code to a new tab).

Hey, I already had a fileplanet account I forgotten about. It reminded me because it said my unique email address already exisit in their system. So I did a forgot password and got in.

Your fileplanet username password is your IGN prime account as well. so use that as well. I did and it works fine.

If your PayPal account isn't verified, you'll be charged $1 for the free trial.
The free trial is the monthly recurring subscription with the first month free. It will renew automatically by default -- don't forget to turn this off (https://login.ign.com/Subscribe/Manage/MySubscription.aspx) if you don't want IGN to bill you anyway.
De-authorizing automatic payments from your PayPal account to "IGN Entertainment" might be a good idea as well. They probably won't charge you if you disable auto-renew, but they theoretically could. This option is buried somewhere in the profile tab. If you're logged in, you could use this link (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/customerprofileweb?cmd=_manage-paylist).
