1. Have you downloaded the latest version of the demo? It was from a few days ago.

2. Have you tried 'verify game cache'?

1. I downloaded it last night.

2. Just did, but that didn't work.

3. I click "play", it brings up the box that says "preparing to launch serious sam double d", then that goes away, and then nothing happens.

4. I didn't do it manually yet since this "new demo" was supposed to fix that issue.

Thanks for the responses. I'm looking at it again. Please post if it's not working for you (new users, that haven't mentioned it yet) and also post if it wasn't working, but something fixed it.

Hopefully I'll have it figured out soon, but an update may not be till Monday.

And if you'd like to try to fix it before the update try this:
Go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\serious sam double d demo folder and run the following:
dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe
and
xnafx40_redist.msi
Try playing the game again after those install (the .NET one may take a while).
Post if this fixes it for you, it helps narrow things down. Thanks.

Okay, please give the demo one more try as a new fix is live (If you've already downloaded it recently, it shouldn't need to download all again, it's a very small file that was updated.)

Should be set to do the proper XNA and .NET installs from scratch. Sorry about the hold-up. If you wouldn't mind, post here if it works or you encounter some other issue.
