And it's a steamworks game. It's the cheapest I've seen so far.

I must admit I was a bit sceptical, but I took the plunge and it activated n Steam just fine. Cool! +rep for the heads-up.

You always buy your Steamworks games from whomever has the best deal. Just so long as the dealer is legit. Makes no sense to do otherwise.

Only thing is, how do I know the games will activate on Steam? For instance, I remember when I bought DIRT 1 (or 2, I forget which one now) from another vendor I couldn't activate it on Steam. I've heard other people complain they couldn't activate Borderlands bought elsewhere. I don't see anything on getgamesgo about Steam.

It's because some games (Borderlands for instance) get Steamworks added later, or publishers have two versions made. This is becoming increasingly common recently, maybe even so Steam maintains a form of extra appeal versus the more competitive prices of places like Green Man Gaming.
Tropico 4 has a Steamworks version only on Steam, and the same holds true for Lord of the Rings, Saints Row 3, and Batman next month. Buying elsewhere will not activate on Steam; you have to buy directly from Steam to get the Steamworks functionality.
