1) Escort missions. Hasn't it been long determined in gaming in general almost no one actually enjoys these?
2) Friendly fire, dump this, or allow me to turn it off. I wouldn't mind it if anytime you are in a fight with NPCs helping you they didn't run around like crazy and invariably jump right in front of you as the destruction magic bolt of infinite doom leaves you fingers. Now you just killed or wounded someone helping you and wasted the magicka for the spell and likely now have a bounty on your head.

I agree with you on the escort missions, but not on the friendly fire. If I shoot an arrow it better kill what it hits, whether that be friend or foe. I think that the npc ai should be good enough that it knows not to get in your way, but really no more than that.

More realistic for friendly fire. But it seems to always be hassle when they jump right in front of you.... They should make team-hit weaker, and make their damage tolerance higher towards you so they don't turn against you that easily.

The NPC that will not die if you shoot them with an arrow, or hit them with a sword are the children in the game. Although, if you're hitting the children then you're a horrible person. :O lol

I enjoy friendly fire, adds realism and a strategic preoccupation. The problem is not friendly fire, is poorly designed AI which does not take it into account.
I think that arrows could easily pass through friendly not because there is not friendly fire, but because you supposedly targeted the enemy (otherwise, archers would have no value in the battlefield), or be accuracy based (lower accuracy means more likely to friendly fire).
However, if you use some AOE on enemies, the friendly AI should be aware of that and disengage automatically. Doesn't even seem hard to implement: friendly AOE incoming = step back (if it's an instant AOE, it's overkill anyway, so it's your fault for not taking friend fire into account)
As for the "moral dilemma" of children being immortal in these games, I find that most annoying and highly hypocrite: you can kill man and woman, puppies and rabbits, midgets and color people, to steal or for fun, but you can't kill children. I mean, mayhem is O.K., psychopathic thief/assassin classes/guild are O.K., you can steal, peruse, murder, hell some games even have raipe (why is this world censored? see?), and that will only get a "M" rating on the game, but killing a miniature version of an adult is the end of the world? if people are going to judge me for one, better judge me for the other, or even better, get it that this is a game and just because I kill people in the game I am not going to turn off my computer and start killing people on streets (in the shadow so no witness call in the guards -_-)

Speak for yourself :p They're not all bad. The majority of them are however.
M: Will you be working for my father ?
T: Maybe
M: Do you mind me resting my hand in your lap ?
T: Maybe
M: It's so difficult having a rich and powerful father. Vamos
...
M: See you around handsome
T: I'm sure you will !

I don't mind escort missions if the AI isnt dumber then rocks and you dont have to escort them far.
