Punkbuster Problem with RTCW

I just re-installed RTCW and was playing multiplayer and get kicked with a PB Init Failure error message. I have Pbsetup however I don't see RTCW listed anymore, and before when I played it updating through Pbsetup was how I fixed the problem. So PB stopped supporting the game? Is there anyway to update PB now or a way to fix this?

It does look like PB dropped support completely.

Sadly, punkbuster doesn't support rtcw anymore.

BUT HAVE NO FEAR!

1) So, you need old pb files which you can download Here ->
http://www.pbbans.com/forums/files/file/71-return-to-castle-wolfenstein-windows/

(Sadly, you need to register to be able to download)

2) Once you downloaded the zip file go to ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\pb

3) Then delete all the files and folders in the directory.

4) Finally, extract the new files into the 'pb' folder.

This should stop you from being kicked.


P.S: I would have post this a couple of days ago but steam takes forever to activate an account.

I tried this today. I still cannot access the multiplayer games on Pb.

Doing this doesn't work, sadly.
