#1 - A thread has been pinned (and confirmed by an overkill developer) saying the release date is the 18th. The source might not have specifically mentioned PC but it makes little sense to make this information specifically available in a PC/Steam forum if it was not relevant to us.
#2 - People are already earning achievements for the game. Whether these are developers testing the game or reviewers given early access to write reviews the fact is people are playing the PC version which tells us the PC version is pretty much ready to go on Steam and also reinforces the 18th release date. They've also stated the game has been pretty much done for weeks just pending the review process.
#3 - We (aka Everyone but the people cancelling the pre-order) don't care if you are cancelling your pre-order. Just do it and leave the people who actually want to play/care about this game alone. You have every right to cancel your pre-order whenever for whatever reason just don't complain to us about it. If they break their "promise" of an 18th release date for PC then go ahead and cancel your pre-order and don't ever buy another Overkill game. Email the developer. Spam the SOE website. Just don't complain to us about it because we don't care.
#4 - Cancelling your pre-order =/ Not purchasing the game
You never actually needed to pre-order to begin with. There will be a demo (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2159577&highlight=demo) available, videos you can watch and if you like it when the game does come out you can just buy it.

you seem to be presuming a lot.
1- "They" have pinned a thread... there is more then 1 moderator for the forum, and they've only vaguely confirmed that while MANY other websites have confirmed the opposite.
2- "People are already earning achievements for the game"... so what does that prove? the game exists? because we knew that- and when I click on "see achievements" it brings me to an error page.
3- "We don't care..." who is "we"? The developers? The community at whole? The steam forums? by "we" do you mean "me"?
4- "You never needed to preorder to begin with"... no, we didn't, but we like to "vote" using our hard earned money. are you saying we should never preorder a game to show fledgling developer our support? also what is this demo you speak of and how do you know there will be one?
I'm not trolling or flame baiting... I'm just playing devil's advocate here by saying:
"We don't need you to tell us to shut up. The developers have already done that. Why are you posting more threads that say nothing concrete or constructive?"
...wait, what was your point again?

Sure you aren't. I'm not going to respond to your points since as the OP is titled "Less drama please" I'm not going to feed you it. I'll modify the OP.

I will say this, just in case other people are legit confused about it: There will be a demo. They said this in their old thread.

I hope I'm not making drama by responding to your points. I personally only see drama where rational debate devolves into childish name-calling and attack posts. Calm, logical discussion is the bane of drama.
1# The question most of us have is WHY the thread that has no bearing on the PC release of the game was stickied in the first place. We're guessing that Overkill, who posted only four minutes after the thread was created, did that. Why? Why would anyone sticky unnecessary information to make it seem more relevant to the PC release?
2# I agree with djvlive on this point, what does it prove? Yes, the game exists. Are you implying that's a sign that the release will come soon? I'm not sure.
3# People are getting frustrated. In my opinion, that frustration is valid. They've stickied a post implying that the release is on the 18th and then cut off all communication with us. One post by them could clear up all of this but they haven't thought it necessary or have been unable to do so. The value of even twenty dollars means something to gamers, and we expect to get the product, or at least some word as to WHEN we're going to get it.
Threatening to withhold twenty dollars is a weak threat, I agree. But it's all we have left to bargain with. It shows that we do care about the game and more importantly, about the PC as a platform. They won't stand for the good old computer being given the shaft in favor of the consoles, AGAIN. And frankly I stand with them.
Sure you could look at it as angry, entitled little children throwing tantrums because they didn't get their toy RIGHT NOW. Or you could see it as concerned gamers being frustrated by seemingly being abandoned by a game developer that said they would work and communicate with us.

Heres comes the "hard earned money" people.Gotta love this group, the hardest working people of all(even more than the construction workers I see outside).
I agree with the OP completely, all of the "frustrated people" need to shut up and wait for them to announce.Stupid threats, bargains, preorder cancel(artificial btw) and flame bait posts will not help your case, and everyone knows it.
And for the love of god,the publisher is Sony. That should explain a lot for the "entitle believing" people. They can cancel the PC game ENTIRELY if they want to or delay it for six months. There is absolutely nothing that could be done.
Obviously the psn customers are the priority for this title,pc people are the second hand.

So money isn't worth anything, all threats are artificial since we just can't help but buy anyway, and we as gamers have no power at all to change how games are made?
Sir... I gotta say, I don't agree.

Heres comes the "hard earned money" people.
...preorder cancel(artificial btw) and flame bait posts will not help your case, and everyone knows it.
artificial? I canceled my preorder and my friend whom I gifted a copy did too. That's $35.98. Which in "hard earned money" is a lot... considering I only payed $41.00 on Amazon.com for BF3. Actually I only payed $11.99 because they had a promo when I bought another game at $60, I had a gift card from my job, and they had a 1 day sale of 30% off.
I'm not defending flame bait posts- I was just saying posting a thread about "less drama" because "we don't want to hear it" is nonsense. I think most of the people who were simply complaining and threatening have already left- everyone who is still here wants to play their game and is very confused why they aren't saying anything.
Stuff like: "I'm not going to respond to your points since as the OP is titled "Less drama please" I'm not going to feed you it." sounds pretty entitled (not to mention entirely non constructive) to me. I posted a community question for the forum... where is the OP in that?

No! I must know every single person who cancels their pre-order in real time! "Operation: Don't give a ♥♥♥♥" depends on this info!

It would actually be interesting to see the steam preorder numbers and how they have changed since the delay.

Indeed, it certainly would. Perhaps most of these threats are..Oh I don't know..Completely "artificial"? :P

Who is this "we" you're boasting around, because i don't think you represent anyone but yourself, so get down from your soapbox all you are really doing is blowing on the flames.

Now, I only became interested in this game about four days ago, so past delays have no bearing on my opinion. People seem to be missing the biggest point about frustrated customers: word of mouth. If one person tells three other friends to not buy it that's eighty dollars gone because of one angry person, and that can cascade into hundreds of dollars quite easily. So the "i'm canceling my preorder" posts could be more of a threat then people here would give credit too. Bad word of mouth is more damning than bad reviews.
Just some food for thought. I'm getting the game once it drops anyway.

thats been updated since my post @ 11:45 lol
and as far as this DEMO goes- they have said there will be one. BUT THEY HAVENT EVEN CONFIRMED A RELEASE DATE FOR PC YET. you can't say one thing they said is true as fact when so far almost nothing they've said is true as fact.
facts change and there MAY BE a demo but right now there is NO CONFIRMED DEMO & NO CONFIRMED RELEASE. its not very constructive to talk about things that havent happened yet.
this was my point in the community question- they shouldn't come onto the forums and promise things when they haven't delivered on anything solid yet.
