How do you use Spirit Claw?

The shaman starts with access to this skill but can't use it? I mean it doesn't appear even appear in the abilities window.

Spirit Claw is the default attack, works just like the Sorceress' fireball.

It took me a long time to be able to access it. I think perhaps the character's Intelligence or rank in that ability has to be high enough.
