For people having problems with awful looking lighting (red glow), turn the saturation all the way down in the options.

It's because the saturation is set too high.

Welcome to almost every game using UE3, the thing to do these days is CRANK HDR and bloom. Movies these days over use the fake ♥♥♥ lens flare and games over use HDR and bloom.
