Field of view too narrow for pc

Hiya, I've done a little sniffing around the config files, managed to unlock the framerate but changing the fov has no effect.
Anyone discovered a way around it yet?

Nope, and you have posts like mine that say we need a bigger fov on almost every thread. :)

Yeah it's good anyway, I really want the devs to change it, this is the only thing that prevents me from playing hours and hours without stopping.

90 is a pretty default FoV, but can't you set that in the ini as well?

I dont even have the game yet, but I agree that there should be an option to alter your fov to how you see fit but nothing to game breaking.

It's what it's written in the file, but it's wrong, same goes for Killing Floor.

Except for Killing Floor you could just type fov 120 and that was it, in Haunted you can't change anything.

Edit: Still no answer from the devs about this... I have a bad feeling.

FOV in the game is NOT 90.. it's more like 70.

i wish more developers would understand that every game needs this option.

Yup. I'm completely done getting excited or stoked about games.

The bottom line is they don't care about us.


If you like fov options, graphic options etc... your in trouble.

Even more importantly, if your a serious pc gamer who plays on pc for the MOUSE AND KEYBOARD... your really in trouble.

The only game I feel I can honestly look forward to is SS3.

The m+k controls... terrible ??

Mouse accel? smoothing? bindable keys? etc? does it feel right on pc? any challenge?

Hehe, yeah, stopped getting excited for games. You build up your hopes and then you get it and the fov is something like 40, there's load of negative acceleration on the mouse, the framerate is capped at 30fps and on and on it goes.
You have to just buy a game and cross your fingers.

Controls are really good, mouse smoothing is on by default (I'm with you, devs seemingly have no clue when it comes to the pc :D ) but it's easy to turn off in an ini file.
The game is great, it's like a faster paced killing floor. The difficulty is just right. So refreshing to have a game that doesn't feel insultingly easy. This and payday have spot on difficulty. Yeah, keys are rebindable.
The low fov is my only gripe, Hoping it gets sorted.
