I just bought GRID cause I saw the deal, installed it, then i was in the garage. I would go down, it would make the sound, then like half a second it goes down.
Same when I am racing, its like keyboard lag ( just not really )
I don't know what I'd set for video options. This is my first time lagging on a game for this laptop...
I have a Intel Pentium P6200,and a Intel Graphics HM57 ( I think )
I don't know how to check how much memory is in the video card..
This is something very unusual for me, please help, I don't want to waste $4.

That isn't what I have. I have a pentium P6200!! Not a pentium 4 or athlon. I don't have ati or nvidia. I have 4 GB Ram. I have over 200 GB of the hard drive.
This is a really fast processor, too. Besides, I played this on my desktop, same speed as GRID on this laptop, and my desktop has like 2 or 3 GB on the video card ( a Nvidia Geforce 210 )

like Xenofang said, your video card isnt really made for gaming, make sure all in game settings are set to low, the resolution is set low and if there are options for AA or AF make sure they are off.

Pentium P6200 = 2.13 GHz
Geforce 210 = 512mb or 1gb max(Also a budget ultra low end card)
Your killing yourself on both systems, there low end and under what you should have, that being a 6800 or better.
You can run the game, set everything to low, just expect it to run badly.

Its hard to explain this to you. I have some special things done to my desktop and laptop so its faster.
I can run games like garry's mod, team fortress 2, half life 2 on max settings, and have 50-60 fps.

Those games are all running on the Source engine. They don't really require very much compare to GRID. Your video card is not made for gaming.
There's nothing you can do but lower the video settings in the game :(

This is a site that will scan your system and tell you if you are able to run the game and a rough on what settings you can run.
It should give you an outside view on if your system can handle the game or not.
Unfortunately this will be my last post on this topic, so any responces to my posts will not be seen.

Yeah, apparently my video card is low too. Sucks, haha. It looked like a fun game.
Also this game was made for XP and Vista, Seven wasn't even available when it came out. But you're not supposed to run Steam in compatibility mode?

7 is just vista with a service pack, there shouldnt be any compatability issues.
