I hope it adds a MUCH reduced difficulty option and a tutorial. The current "easy" difficulty is at about an "8." It needs to be at about a "1" or "2."

It doesn't, here are the notes:
Fixed authorization problems with dedicated servers
Increased Chronostone timeout
Added FOV config file option
Increased VOIP volume
I can't seem to find the FoV option by the way.
Ok, got it:
[HauntedGame.TH_CamMode_Default]
DefaultFOV=75
[HauntedGame.TH_CamMode_Aimed]
DefaultFOV=65
[HauntedGame.TH_CamMode_Sprinting]
DefaultFOV=80
[HauntedGame.TH_CamMode_Monster]
DefaultFOV=75
I hope it adds a MUCH reduced difficulty option and a tutorial. The current "easy" difficulty is at about an "8." It needs to be at about a "1" or "2."
It's actually easy enough. Try harder. :s

I mean it needs an option for casual gamers - not "easy for someone who spent 10 hours a day playing games for the last 10 years" but "beatable by someone who has never played a video game in their life within a few days" level. Seems every game they made in the last 10 years or so is geared towards hardcore gamers and to hell with those of us who aren't.

And now I'm going to bed so bye bye.

Difficulty will be adressed in a future patch, this was just a fast patch to have dedicated server support :)

Ok dumb question...I just looked through a ton of the config files...which one and where is the one with PoV settings? I know I probably looked at it 10 times and didnt see it, lol.

Changing difficulty is more work, it is something we can not do in a couple of days. We will do steps to bring in new players, just that we need to get the game fully working first.
As for the FOV settings, check the previous posts in this thread.

Kudos for at least addressing this. If it takes a few days or weeks so be it. At least you're trying to work with those of us who aren't expert gamers. Most companies don't seem to care. If you do add a difficulty level people like me can play I'll be looking for games from this company in the future and almost certainly buy.

Oh god please make a new difficulty that's easier than the other and leave the other difficulties alone. I'm loving that I cannot beat this game on Easy mode. Love the challenge.

I agree let the hardocre gamers keep their challenge but add an option for those of us they would say "suck at games."

I can't find it either. I'm probably missing something obvious.

I found them in my (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\the-haunted-hells-reach\UDKGame\Config)
DefaultGame.ini
I believe at the very bottom of the document. If I'm wrong someone redirect me and these other people.
What are the best FOV setting for this game on an 1920x1080 (16:9) 46 inch screen?

I've found that editing the files in C:\Users\you\Documents\My Games\the-haunted-hells-reach\UDKGame\Config is a less destructive way of editing the files. I think if you somehow mess something up you can just delete the file and upon restart of the game they'll just be recreated. If you accidentally mess up in the system or default configs you'd have to delete the file then "verify game cache" in steam in order to restore the settings. Just a thought and either way works :)

the FOV options aren't found in that folder. at least, not for me.

The FOV options are shown in My Documents after you have runned the game one time.

Thanks for updating on this.
I actually just changed the settings to the 120 range as someone else suggested in thread...I think I may actually adjust them back down a bit. I noticed mainly it was a bit more difficult to get headshots with pistol then before. Probably just have to get accustomed to it I guess.
Ehh..but it looks nice and you can for sure see around you better.

It's seems to me to be the other way around, even on the highest difficulty most games are mindnumbingly easy. I always thought the developers were catering to 'casuals'. Games should cater to both sets of players.
I remember back when video games were new. On the amiga or commadore. I still can't beat some of those games.

It's because I set the aiming fov really high too.
Just set it back to 75 and see if you prefer that.
Or maybe 90 for the normal fov.
I like the " fish-eye " thing but not everyone does.
