I've looked at the XBox 360 and PS3 versions, and I've looked at this one, and I can't find any "console exclusive" features (something that I can't remember having been done since Soul Caliber IV, when each machine got it's own unique character, and Namco didn't do any of that "We're going to release all the console/merchant 'unique' content as DLC in a few months anyway"). The only difference I can find is price, and I suspect that's because the Steam version doesn't require covering the cost of printing discs.

And there's the fact that each platform has their own achievement system, but that's not really what I look for (aw man! I wanted a gold star/blue ribbon on this system!).

The game itself is, as far as we know, identical. There has been some concern over whether or not the emulated in-game Sonic 1 is included. Also, there is some retailer-specific pre-order bonus DLC available on the console versions that we haven't heard word of regarding PC availability.

Recent leaks suggest that the Casino Night DLC is on-disc rather than downloadable, meaning that it might be included in the PC version and be unlockable via game editing, that is if the DLC itself is not released on the PC.

Well, I've seen a lot of $60 console titles (Blur, War for Cybertron, Dead Rising, etc) go for $40 on PC at launch. All pretty much console ports, but solid ones for the most part. Sonic Generations is only $50 on console, so I guess dropping it to $30 on PC might just be par for the course? Pretty sure Sonic & Sega Racing was similarly 50/30, though it lacked online multiplayer (still an excellent game for that price).

So I'm trying not to read too much into the price difference yet. *fingers crossed*

Oh, and since it's a game you'll want to play with a 360 controller anyway, there's a bit less "porting" to be done in terms of GUI/controls.
