Hello, me and my gf cant seem to get voice working, there doesnt seem to me a option to set push to talk so its prolly that annoing continuesly stream... but we dont seem to get it work, we have have disabled the muste players function but still dont hear eachother.. we do however hear some other people (only a few)
Can anyone explain to me how to get it to work? or even better entirely disable it so we can use mic on Steam, cause the game is blocking steam from using the mic.
Thanks!

You are not alone! It is rather annoying. :( I wish I could easily change my config as well, can't really find any support on that either. There is like 3 different ones everywhere and none of them change my settings in game. :s

No answers for you, but thought I'd let you know you aren't the only one.
Even if both my friend and I are set to UNMUTE, he can't ever hear me.
Hell's Reach seems to mute my mic, not sure why.
EDIT: Since the game seems to block Steam's voice chat too, perhaps you guys could just use Ventrilo?
Wouldn't let you talk to the other players, but you could at least hear each other.

Using skype at the moment, but skype causing the game to freeze sometimes, U need to rent servers from Vent to talk on there right?
Lol it annoyes me the most when i hear someone eating or talking whatever, and i cant even talk to my "friends" lol since i dont give out my skype to all my steam "friends"

No server renting, unless your internet speed is God-awful and you can't afford to use any more of your connection on a server.
You host a Ventrilo server yourself, and you'll set up its name, security, IP etc., then your friends can download the Ventrilo Client (you'll need this too) and can connect to it.
The Ventrilo website, as well as a little Google'ing, will both get you some great tutorials on how to do it, and its really quite easy, unless you have to forward ports :/
EDIT: Ventrilo can also do PushToTalk, so you won't always hear people eating :p

We are going to look into this. It worked for us in beta testing.

It works, but I believe the issue is that the game's mic sensitivity is set too low. Here is how a friend and I got it to work.
1. Make sure your system mic sensitivity is set to maximum level
2. In the main menu audio options set mute to off
3. When in the game, in the "Esc" menu, make sure all player icons have a green check icon.
4. Make sure your mic is essentially right next to your mouth, such as when using a headset.
I use a desktop mic and normally it is placed a little less than arm's length from my mouth. With this placement, no one in game could hear me. I then placed the mic at the edge of the desk, so the mic was about 6 inches from my mouth. Everyone could hear me from that point.
So with this, it appears to me to be a mic sensitivity setting in game. My mic works fine with everything else, it appears to be the game.
