So our game launches in a state of needing repair. Kerberos, the fine folks who sign the game, are in Vancouver.

Steam has a facility outside of Seattle.

Assuming they left Vancouver at 11am, and took a scenic route, and had to go all the way to the opposite side of Seattle, they could have hand delivered a copy of the game to Steam by 4pm'ish.

Thoughts? Martini's?

*drools on desk*

Maybe that is what they did, but when they got there they realized they forgot the flash drive in the USB port back in Vancouver

Good thing i live ten minutes north from Seattle.

Yeah, but it's Seattle, they probably got their car flooded on the way there and had to swim back.

Death Scatman

Yes, they put the game on a floppy disc, and are currently trying to hitchike their way into the U.S. THAT's why it's taking so long!

but you forgot they had to go by horseback.

You forgot to adjust for rain in Seattle... Which adds another 16 hours to that.

Scynix

Ok, so what we're assuming here is that, they left the USB drive back at Kerberos, but they DID bring it (rar'ed?) across thousands of floppies, hiking through the flooded lands of the North West, beasts of burden in tow, and THAT'S why we still have no idea what's going on.

Death Scatman
10-28-2011, 10:01 PM
Yes. Precisely. Also, in case anyone is counting, they just missed their last timetable for getting the patch live. Guess one of their donkeys carrying the floppy discs hurt its ankle...

Scynix

Such are the risks of crossing a flooded mountain carrying 1,478,571 floppies.

Rawk Hawk

The donkies are running out of food from the hike, they are feeding them floppies now. Hope they get to Seattle soon

I actually spotted several illegal canadians carrying bundles of floppies across the mountains here in utah. Seems they got lost, they will be there as soon as the momo's finish converting them.

Rawk Hawk

Utah? Do they not have maps on those donkey saddles?

Death Scatman

No. as mentioned before, the donkeys are getting hungry. they fed them the map

According to the Utah state police, they were last seen selling some of their floppies in exchange for a cab ride to Seattle

lol, we need to set up a memorial for them.

In honor of the donkeys that valiantly carried the Kerberos development staff 1500 miles to Utah with millions of floppy discs. They are lost, but not forgotten!

EDIT: I am naming my first Leviathan "Revenge of the Donkeys" in honor of this

Perhaps a new race in a DLC?

A cybernetic race of donkeys that eat floppy disks

Death Scatman

Lol, with telekinetic dolphins and blood thirsty marsupials, they'll fit right in!

The good news is folks, a few broken, battered Kerberos employees carrying an implausible amount of floppy disks but for indiscernible reasons the donkeys are now missing.

The bad news is that the floppies unrar'ed into zip's, which unzipped into a batch install file, which turned out to be 4gb instead of 2gb.

We're hoping they doubled up the protection. Only time will tell.

The donkeys are OK. They are geting their eaten limbs replaced with cybernetic replacements and are now plotting revenge on the human race for leaving them in the Utah wilderness to eat eachother. Thus returning in full force in a future DLC.

I too will participate in the Donkeypocalypse once the real version has actually been posted. It appears, while the donkeys may have made it back, the developers must have fed the incorrect backup floppies to them and each other.

Death Scatman

Damn! Stupid backup floppies...

Vagrant Storm
