I'm looking for a new GPU, and this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125396) one seems pretty good.

Thoughts?

Why not put in $20-30 more and get a 6850? Which is a much better card.http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=100006662&isNodeId=1&Description=6850&x=0&y=0

Or $10-20 and get a 6790.

Other than that, the GIGABYTE 6770 looks like a good choice.

I've got this graphics card and it is really good, only problem is, Modern Warfare 2 doesn't run on it. Just says Direct X has encountered and Unrecoverable error.

That's a problem with your particular system. The 6770 is a DX11 part, so should have no issue running MW2. It's basically a rebadged 5770, which had no problem running MW when I had one.

I can't stand Call of Duty.

It's decent, not what people call godly though, you could do a lot worse, but for the additional $30 you could do way better.

I'm not really looking for something too amazing. This is just a temp rig until I graduate from highschool in a year and a half.

What's the difference between that one and the Gigabyte one?

$10 cheaper.

Fair enough.

Any advice on a decent PSU to go along with it?

What else do you have in your system?

This is my current "budget" recommendation, and would be plenty for a system with a 6770:

It was a pre-built that my mom picked up for me a few years back.

Intel Pentium DualCore E2180
2GB Ram
(Broken) BFG Tech GeForce 9500GT
250W PSU

What make and model? e.g. Dell Inspiron 123, HP Presario 456.

If it's a "slimline" case, you won't be able to fit a regular sized video card in there.

It's a Compaq. Not sure exactly which model. I'm not home, I'm at the Rocky Horror Picture Show :p

Eww, That 250 watt PSU is gonna be iffy, even with the 6770. The video card can draw 108 watts alone. You might be better off with this.

The next card up, a Radeon HD 6650 requires a 400 watt PSU, this one should be fine for lower end gaming until you can get a new system built. Don't expect to max anything out, except maybe Source games.

The reason I haven't suggested a PSU is I'm not sure if the PSU you currently have is standardized. For all I know, the mountings could be completely different from what standard PSUs use. The 6550 is often written off in custom built PCs, but would probably be the best choice for upgrading an OEM that is limited on on power.

Would you say that 6570 is comparable to my old 9500GT?

I don't really care for maxing out on graphics.

Looks like a micro-ATX motherboard in a regular width case, so the card and a regular ATX PSU should fit.
