View Full Version : Demo crash

Hi guys,

The game looks interesting, but I can't even get the demo to work. It crashes as soon as I click "Play demo" in the game menu. I get the message "Thu Jul 23 06:02:39 2009 stopped working", and that's it. There's no info in the log file, all lines show "OK" at the end.
I know there's a sticky on the forums about the full game, but if I can't even get the demo to run, there's no way I'm going to buy the full game...

System specs:
Windows 7 64bits
Intel i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580

Should be sufficient I think...

Probably not going to help anyways, but: Same here.
Pretty similar system specs, too, a little lower in CPU (i7 @ 2.8 GHz) and Graphics (GTX 465 here)

The demo is bugged since day one, and from my experience Steam doesn't update demo files. So there isn't really a point to go further into this topic.

The final product might have been fixed ages ago.

Just tried the demo, same issue. Loads up but clicking Play Demo on the main screen causes the "Demo Stopped Working" Windows crash screen to appear

A few differences from the others who posted here in machine spec too

Vista 32bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 4GHz
Nvidia Zotac GTX 580

It seems Wargaming has stopped supporting this game - not just the demo. Steam should not be selling this game any more as it's not supported. OOW: Challenge has not been working for weeks and numerous emails to Steam and Wargaming have not produced a fix.

Was thinking about purchasing it due to it being on sale but I'm also getting this same crash in the demo.

Skipping this because of the non-working demo. Maybe the game will work, but I'm taking no risks. Looked like a nice game though.

Didn't bother with the demo, but game works for me.. The same with Challenge.. BUT I have only tested up until the first tutorial in both games and both run well (not that there should be much difference).. I don't have much time at the moment to do more in-depth testing and gaming..

Win7 Pro 64-bit

GeForce GT240 1GB DDR3
2x2GB DDR2
