Problem with starting game

After i installed sonic generations, i clicked play but this error came
and it said Sonic Generations has stopped working and i don't know what to do and its been like this ever since yesterday help?:confused:

Nevermind the game and configure are now working for me

yeah I'm getting the same problem. It comes up with "Critical Error" The detection configuration does not match your current hardware. Please re-run the configuration tool.

No idea what I'm supposed to do... where's my $30 back?

I had the same error message once, it was because I set the resolution to something my monitor didn't support. I'm not sure if you're seeing something similar, but make sure both the refresh rate and resolution match your monitor.

Ok thanks, I'll give it a try. I feel like I've tried everything though lol...uninstall re-install. Tweaked every setting. Stupid Steam and Sega!

I have the same problem, everything I've tried from what others are having problems with and nothing seems to fix it, could it be my system?

Specs:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850
Intel Core i5 processor
and 4 gb of RAM

Any suggestions?
