Skyrim making moniter fade black

Anyone else noticing this? When you go into a shaded area the entire screen, UI bars and all fade out. Eventually making my moniter turn into sleep mode (that is, no power to the screen)

It is actually fairly annoying since it fades out the menu bars too. Im using a Samsung syncmaster bx2450, if anyone else has a solution to this Id appreciate it.

Ahhh figured it out. nothing to do with the game, some stupid setting on the moniter called Dynamic contrast.
