Thanks to the terrific discovery by Jhanos, we now have a fix for the inability to create ranked games! I am making a new thread about this, and expanding on his discovery with a bit more information, so that it does not get buried in the forum. But all due credit should go to him for the initial discovery.

The problem appears to be related to the bind order of network adapters in Windows. In regular PCs this will commonly accompany the installation of programs like Hamachi, which add a virtual network adapter and prioritise its bind order above all others. However, PCs with multiple adapters will also experience this problem.

To fix the problem, all you need to do is change the Bind Order of your adapters so that your primary internet connection adapter (usually "Local Area Connection") is above the Hamachi and/or other adapters.

In Vista and Windows 7 you can do this as per the following:

1> Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change adapter settings
2> Press the Alt key, which will bring up the menu options
3> Advanced -> Advanced Settings
4> Use the icons to move the primary LAN adapter above all others (e.g. move "Local Area Connection" above "Hamachi")
5> Click Ok

The other simple fix is just to uninstall Hamachi, but then you may lose your Hamachi network settings etc, and it actually takes less time to do the above steps

Note that this may prevent some games you used to play on Hamachi from working via LAN. For those, all you need to do is re-change the Bind Order again. It will be obvious which ones because those will stop working for LAN play Still, this is better than uninstalling Hamachi completely.

Hopefully this helps the developers fix the problem permanently, too.

Cheers, and again credit to Jhanos for discovering this in the first place!

If this does not fix your issue do not be discouraged. There are a number of different Connectivity issues that have popped up lately. It is guessed this is to do with the recent addition of VAC.
