Other than, 'Why didn't you start this when you got it?', I can't really provide much help here, as you've described one word about what your essay is about.

There has to be more to it than, "Perception. Discuss."

Physical perception? Psychological perception? Social? Need more detail.

Think about the main hero of GTA 4 and how he saw the world... that is perception, when you translate his actions back to the payer's will and his intentions into the hero's actions within the game.

Five major senses for physical perception, but philosophical perception is a whole other kettle of fish. I think.

You could talk about how perception can change between one person and another. For example, 2 eye-witnesses to a crime often give 2 completely different descriptions of what they perceived.
You could talk about how our biases influence our perception. for example two guys watching a game. A foul is called, the first guy, who likes team A, thinks it was a bogus call. He can't see how the ref could make such a dumb call, when it's obvious it didn't happen. the second guy, who likes team B, thinks it was the perfectly correct call, after watching the replay. both guys see the same thing, one guy see what he thinks happened, and the other see what he thinks, all based on their bias.
Perception can also be affected by things like lack of sleep, alcohol and drugs, physical impairment...
Perception can also be linked to intelligence and understanding. Often times I perceive something before my son because of the education I have.
You could also talk about how perception is increased with more information and facts. Like they say, Hindsight is 20/20. Some times I'll be watching a movie, and I won't see something, but if I watch it again, I will catch it the second time.

Tell them to close their left eye, then open it, then close their right eye, then open it, and just repeat those steps about 170 times and ask them to reflect on it.

Invent a time machine, go forward in time, clone yourself, bring the clones back to the time of the assignment, and slow down time for the entire universe except the room where you and your clones work on the assignment.

Or, you could provide more details as JayceM asked earlier to help us help you help us all.

Perception, a long funny word! It means what I tasted, smelled, saw and heard.

Hmm, not quite 2500 words but it's a start, at least.

Just try to keep in mind that 42 is not the meaning of life... It is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything.

I grasp that your attempts to apprehend your sub-conscious, and quite realized, awareness of the impressions and insights on the knowledge and observations relating to the various viewpoints of the sensation that is perception, is not conceiving itself in the right light within your brain. But that is just my opinion on the study. ;)
