White bar on the right of the screen.

For some reason there is a thin white bar down the right of my screen. It only shows up on the main menu and ingame. It disappears on cut scenes and the bats that show up when you go through menu options 'fly over' it. :mad:

I have the same problem, but my Bar is blue and runs along the bottom of the screen... and this is after having to turn physx off just to get past the GFWL login without crashing!

I have the same problem, except it's a purple bar glowing at the bottom of the screen. Really disturbing ingame.

I just installed the latest beta drivers released by nVidia today, 290.36, no change. :(

I have a similar issue: a white bar across the bottom of the screen.

Rebooting the machine makes it go away -- for a while. I have not been able to determine exactly what brings it back, but eventually, something always does.

Interestingly, it also went away when I installed the latest fully released Windows 7 64-bit driver for my GeForce GTX 285. I did not reboot: simply installing it made the problem go away, temporarily.

(By the way, this driver is 285.62 -- I haven't tried the newer beta.)

In any case, these (1. rebooting; 2. installing the graphics driver) are the only two ways I've found to get rid of the problem. Once the white bar has re-appeared, it will be there every time I restart the game, until I reboot.

What could it be that is "remembering" the bad status? The game itself is not running, and since it goes away after reboot, I doubt it is anything written to disk that maintains the screwed up status. It could be the graphics card or driver, or maybe some GFWL service, although that doesn't appear to be running either, unless I've missed something...

Any new ideas out there?

What makes you think it is related to GFWL? Note that (at least for me and a few others) the white bar is not visible in detective mode, only in the normal view and some menus. I don't see how GFWL could cause that.

You're right to resurrect this thread, i have not been able to find a solution and this bug is very disturbing! Waiting for help too.

I get the bottom bar bug too sometimes.

Alt-tabbling seems to clear it up, except for one leftover chunk near the right side of the screen. It's not AS distracting at least.

Still pretty piss-poor customer service that this is still a bug this long after release.

This nasty bug seems to have been solved by the last patch just released on Steam. The bottom bar has totally disappeared. Hurrah! :D
