After watching loads of videos of water texrures, i've come to realize (wasnt even paying much attention to it) that the water is almost 100% transparent, here's a picture

Would like a feedback regarding what to do to fix this (if it is a problem) if it's not then, its definetly not the type of water i would see in real life

I have mine almost everything maxed, just shadow textures are set on medium, but this water looks absolutely ridiculous.

normally- if you dive the water becomes more blurry and "realistic". from a certain angle it becomes clear like in your picture. it is not exactly like in "real life" but it can be handy if you want to know what´s underwater without actually diving around.
anyway the water looks generally awesome in this game- so its just a minor distraction for me.

Yes, i get your point about looking clear from a certain angle, and remember it in every elder scrolls and fallout i've played so far. But the problem lies that it looks like in that "angle" always, in the picture i am standing outside the water, so its supposed to look like a dark blue, like noodlesoup said. for me it just looks transparent everywhere.

Water doesnt look bad in skyrim, i can agree. but in mine game it does

it's a glitch. Is your world map really blurry?
I find that when the water looks like this the map gets blurry as well (more than usual). No idea what causes it but if I restart the game the water reverts to normal.

The map IS more blurry, something i had not realized either. Thanks for pointing that out. Restarting the game doesnt do the trick for me

Here is a video of the same problem, the description indicates it happens after alt+tabbing the game, which i have done before, but nothing fixes it, and the game instantly looks like that, regardless if i alt+tab or not

Yep then, its 100% a bug. Thanks for the reference.

It's a common bug, it glitches a lot of stuff related to animated textures, that including fire, fog and water.

Aswell as the blurry map, and the completely transparent water, you might notice that when looking directly into a fire source, it would look really weird, like an overlay contrast effect.

Restarting the game fixes the problem.

I believe that this problem occurs sometimes, once you minimize your game and come back without pausing the game, the textures don't load properly.

Mine would happen all of the time, though yours seems like a logical explanation, it just does not work for me. I just uninstalled the game and am re-installing it. Will write the outcome as soon as I try it out (in exactly 11 minutes: 54 seconds according to steam)lol
