I'm definitely going to get this game, but I'm debating between here and Desura. I'd rather get it here for convenience, but I also want the linux version. Any chance we can get a special link or something? If not, I'll probably get it on both, just to support the linux build.

There is a linux version hidden within the files, here are some instructions on how to get it working:

You might also need to download this update:

You won't be able to use any Steamworks features like leaderboards or achievements so I recommend taking the easy route and getting it on Desura.

Yeah, just got it on both Steam and Desura. It was on sale on both. Desura has come a long way since I used it last. Watch out Steam!

Before you know it, Valve will have bought Desura to cover the people whining about a lack of linux support in Steam. It'll be rapidly folded in, the linux folk will rejoice briefly, then start whining again because Game X has mac and win support, but still no linux lovin'

At which point the cycle will repeat again, I'm sure, with Desura mkII or whatever it'll be called.

I've actually made Desura my first choice now, if the software is available there. If they merge, and it gets more linux games into the masses hands, yay.

I should also note that Dungeons of Dredmor was added to the most recent humblebundle.com deal, as an added bonus. You can get this game, and 4 or 5 others, without DRM, cross-platform, etc, all for under 5 bucks. They also give you a steam key, and part of the price goes to charity and such.

Even though I've already got the game, it's nice to see the dev's hard work go to an even larger population. Good going!
