View Full Version : Thats it?
I really enjoyed the game but i was in shock when the credits started rolling....checked my steam library and it only took me 3 hours to beat it :\
Also, im surprised ace team went on to make that tower defense game instead of a sequel. the ending made no sense.

Yes, the game is somewhat short, but it was developed by a tiny team when we were debuting several years ago. That's the reason why it was released at a lower price point back then. As for the ending, we did leave a lot of loose ends with the cliffhanger (maybe too much), but the main plot motivator (father mother's secret) is explained.
About moving on to a different project; at the time we realized it didn't make sense to immediately work on the sequel because we needed to continue growing as a studio before taking on a much more ambitious game that the second part needed to be. We didn't want the sequel to be a mere extension of the first one. Additionally we wanted to prove that we were a creative studio that could generate new game ideas & IPs so Rock of Ages was the shift we needed.
Zeno Clash is a very special game for us at ACE Team, so don't worry that a sequel will eventually see the light and all the unanswered events from the first one will get further developed.

Wait they are making a sequel!!! Awesome! :D
And since the game is short just play it a couple times and do the challenge mode stuff.

That's not really an exact way to determine the playtime. It could be anything from 3 hours to 3 hours and 59 minutes.

Steam DOES count minutes, not just hours. But minutes go in decimals.
If it was 3:59, then Steam would register 3.9 or 4 hours.
3 is just 3 hours.

If a game is short, there is still plenty to do.
Get some achievements, beat your friends score on some challenges (Or your own score if none of your friends own that game.)
Or just play for the sake of having fun.

Rock of Ages is out. I already bought it. So please begin working on Zeno Clash 2 already!

There are always the challenge levels. I'll admit the story ran out pretty fast, but the fun of crushing in faces and kicking collapsed people into their allies is pretty long-lasting.
